The Pope Had No Need To Apologise In The First Place. There Still Exists Even In This World The Right Of Freedom Of Speech And Free Expression. With The Exception Of Those Who Would Spread Fear Throughout The World And Incite Terrorist Acts Against Whichever Side. These Freedoms Must Be Upheld, Otherwise It Could Be Said That Those Who Burnt An Effigy Of The Pope Should Also Apologise After All To The Catholics He Is The Mouthpiece Of God On Earth.
We Should All Be A Bit More Understanding And A Lot Less Militant And Just Maybe We Might Find Common Ground Instead Of Fighting Over He Said She Said! Life Is Short Enough As It Is Without Adding Bullets And Bombs Into The Equation. Thank You And Please Have A Gooday.

HELL NO!
As I have said before, Do the mullahs apologize for this????

Is this protest really about blasphemy of Islam? I doubt that could be the reason that the protests are so widespread. People across the arab world, even though they share a common belief, could not possibly feel the same way about it. For instance, Christianity, a equally widespread religion, did not protest Serrano's Piss Christ (a crucifix soaked in urine, a photo) like this.
So what is really at issue here?
Obviously Islam has failed to give its people a decent life, or this is the purpose of Islam - to make angry, violent protesters.
The main/key issue at stake in the battle over what he said is this: Will the West stand up for its customs and mores, including freedom of speech, or will Muslims impose their way of life on the West? Ultimately, there is no compromise: Westerners will either retain their civilization, including the right to insult and blaspheme, or not.
More specifically, will Westerners accede to a double standard by which Muslims are free to insult Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism, while Muhammad, Islam, and Muslims enjoy immunity from insults? Muslims routinely publish cartoons far more offensive than the Danish ones. Muslims routinely show agression to those they find offensive, Muslims routinely show open support for Islamo-facists terrorists, Muslims routinely re-arrange history all the way back to the crusades so they can play the victim card...Are they entitled to dish it out while being insulated from similar indignities?
The deeper issue here, however, is not Muslim hypocrisy but Islamic supremacism. What we need to ask ourselves non-Muslims, is should we submit to their taboos for fear of violent reprisal??

He should not apologise, he should declare a jihad on all Muslims and see how they facking like being on a hit list. Any religion that promotes homosexuality and imprisons women in the 21st century has got to be eliminated. And I hate Christians too but Muslims are worse. At least Jesus was a good role model. Mohammed was worse than Bush.

I think you have a disotoerd image of what islam is about. Look, i am not a muslim , so what i say might not be that accurate, but i lived with muslims and i met with those who ar extreme and i talked with a lot of ppl who have islam as a religion " not arabs only but ppl form gernmany and so forth "
I found out , that islam and what it represents , is something exteremly scared to muslims and they will not tolerate anything that would in any way tarnish this image , which i see as fair , it is thier creed and thier belife system , they tend to be aggressive defending it , because they belive it , that is one thing , the second thing , it seems that recently , everyone is attacking islam , if you are in thier place you would be violent defending it .
The vatican when chrisitantity is attacked , always jump for defending it ... but it is not as agressve , becuase christians around the west are not that high in number /.... we are moslty secular . But muslims are still stuck thier faith , hence the aggerssion .. i can not blame them ... when african americans wanted to defend thmeselves , they were violent ..
there is nothing worse in the world than attacking a figuer you belive in or a creed you live by and if you do so , then you are asking for aggression .. what do you expect them to do , when they are called violent and evile , smile and sit back or jump in defence ... i do not understand your point of view ... as for the quran and the peniliites , well chrisitiany and jewdism has the same , but we are secular and we have man made laws which softens sentances ... so relax and be a littel understanding
I also want to say something , what about those dead ppl in chennya , palasitine , iraq and others who were murdered by our governement and israel , do not they count , are not they human , what do you call that ??!!!
the crusades , and the murduers commited agnist muslim does not that count as violence ?!!

the Pope is doing the right thing in dealing with Muslim violence.
Muslims were attacking Christian people and institutions in Muslim countries in response to the Pope's declaration. His apologies stopped these attacks and saved life and damage, but the Christian public is left with the feeling that the Pope meant what he said 1st and the Muslim violence was only a confirmation to that.

No. There comes a point when the purpose of an apology is to humiliate and demean even further.
The Pope is done with that. Let's see the Muslims stop the ranting tirades and works towards a real bridge of communication

Personally I don't think the Pope should say anything bad about anyone He I thought was suppose to be a man of God and if the Pope is then he shounot judge anyone for any reason. Personally I think He should give a BIG apology..He was in the wrong the way I see it..Now this is only my opinion and I'm sure some would not agree..

Did you hear about the worldwide contest that the government of Iran held asking for artist and others to contribute their works to a gallery of Holocaust denial pieces. You can check it out on Fox News. What did the West do? Nothing, we simply turn our heads and further acknowledge the fact that Iran is crazy.

Yes, he should not have made such comments as a "peaceful" leader of a major religion
