For those who say Ahmadinejad is a religious freak, what about Bush? God Bless this, God Bless that. He is a Texan for goodness sake, they are born with a gun in one hand and a Bible in the other. He is a leaderer of a country that was founded on CHRISTIAN beliefs and faith system. What is “morally right” is what is “Christianly right”

I just heard some of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech at the UN, and I think this guy is really sharp. He gave a really forceful speech, no empty rhetoric. He was telling it in exact terms exactly as it is. By comparison, George Bush only talks in a very wimpy manner, speaking only in vague generalities about things he knows nothing about and has no hard evidence, presenting his own personal opinion as absolute fact. All of Bush's remarks are so simplistic and biased as to defy credibility because most of what he says is Zionist propaganda fed to him by his jewish handlers. Not so with Ahmadinejad. There is a world of difference between the two leaders, and Ahmadinejad makes Bush look like an ignorant, rank amateur from some rural backwoods Alabama church Bingo club.

World leaders do not debate with each other. They meet to establish policy favorable to the countries in question. This occurs after statesmen have established what that policy will be. In effect it is a formality. In the case of Iran and the United States there have been no formal diplomatic discussions, and there is not any consensus to formalize. Mr. Ahmadinejad's regime supports the actions of terrorists, and he has publicly called for the destruction the United States. The United States stands in opposition to his position, as does the United Nations, and most of the world regarding Iran's nuclear aspirations. Until such a time as reasonable discourse can be obtained do not expect the President to meet with Mr. Ahmadinejad. This is not about fear. It is rather regarding the reasonable contention by the world that allowing a country to develop weapons of mass destruction is a disastrous position when that country is believed very likely to use those weapons against their enemies.

Additional Info: Okay you have managed to achieve something I reserve for an elite few. Idiot Status! I am a Texan, I am not religious, and I don't own a gun. You have now shown yourself completely unworthy of reasonable debate. Just like Ahmadinejad.

Humm, I'd point out that it is very likely that Ahmadinejad does know English, seeing how educated he is. It's just not very political to do so for him.

For the cynics in the answers forum, I think it is becoming excessively clear that the victory over USA Ahmadinejad is looking for is not one of destruction but of political gain. I for one, think his politics are very sly, and he has gained alot since refusing to back down on Iran's nuclear program.

Whether or not he thinks Ahmadinejad will listen or not, it strengthens his position as a world leader to at least offer a debate. No one is saying he has to go over there, a neutral country could host it.

Did you see the 60 Minutes interview with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad?

He's a religious zealot with one goal, the total annihilation of Israel and preferably, the US too. You cannot talk to someone like that. He is all about death and evil.

Debate? Why debate? Why not just sit and talk?

The reason why Bush won't just sit and talk with Ahmadinejad is because he is a zealot fascist and supports the same terrorism the US is determined to eliminate. Bush is not scared of anything, but he is adamant not to negotiate with terrorists. By supporting terror Ahmadinejad has branded himself a terrorist.

What purpose would a debate serve, other than provide a world forum for a Jew and Christian hating history revisionist liar?
The guy is a nutjob.

This is not the issue of being scared, it's just that The Iranian does not deserve the respect he'll receive by debating with GWB as equals.
