IT industry is booming and fast growning company in Since you have done diploma in electronics,you can aaply to any it company,but i suggest you to go for some post graduation to get good position in any company.

try to get a post graduate diploma in computers then sart attending the job fairs being conducted at metros

Try to obtain a part time degree such as BCA or BSc(Computer Science).

Obtain a certification in MCSE/MCSD
You have to be strong in programming and logical skills

Do you know any programming languages. get certified for msce or java first if you want to develop software,or get certified for oracle,SAP or mySQL (database) for data management(lots of money).
