You know, like "chick lit"-style book. Being fat doesn't have to be the main theme of the book, but definitely a part of it, a part of the character.

Well, I said "chick-lit". Not like bios or anything like that. A sweet, funny novel with a narrative by a girl who is witty and smart but at the same time a bit insecure of her heavier weight...

Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner (the author of In Her Shoes which was made into a movie). It is about a woman who's life changes when her ex-boyfriend writes an article in a magazine about what it is like to date a fat girl. Definitely "chick-lit" style book. I loved it.

her books are pretty much autobiographical, but they suit what you are looking for to a T... Laurie Ann Notaro. i so love her! i've read 3 of her 4... great!

she's come undone is a pretty good one - but it's almost a downward spiral

laurie is all about getting self-esteem and screw everyone else!
