Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was always a devoted servant of God. If God says so he will be back to India. This time no fasting. He would perhaps go about trying to change the laws, and preach people they should, besides being truthful, also work hard and forget small things. He would be better dressed this time. He could also invite Sir Richard to advise him on certain subjects/aspects. He would not support Narmada Bachao programme. May be he would support communists somewhat. About the lady who is his namesake - well I don't know.

Mahatma was just "mohandas" when he decided to serve the nation. It is the others who made him mahatma!

"God,India is my motherland. I love India more than I do myself.
Today there are not much crises in India. I want the people themselves to improve India. It will one day then be the best country.
Give me time to think. If I do say yes then I will make sure people know the meaning of freedom "

I suppose God normally does not repeat the same mistake! Gandhi practically had no contribution neither in India's freedom nor in its structuring. He was just blown out of proportion by his contemporaries to serve their own ends. Had Gandhi not been there India would surely had been a better, more prosperous country.
