I haven't played before but want to join a team!

those are the only teams in london itself but there are other teams nearby, the essex spartans ( whom i am a proud player for :) , kent exiles etc

if you havent played before then i'd recommend starting at a lower division club and learning the game before moving up...at bigger clubs you might not get much playing time.

It's an effort by the defence to get to the quarterback before he can pass by committing extra players to pass-rush at the expense of marking potential receivers. Exactly how a blitz is defined is a bit variable. With no blitz in operation, just the defensive linemen and perhaps one line-backer try to get to the quarterback. The line-backer in this situation is said to be "Dogging," though this terms appears to have fallen into disuse. It used to be the case that a blitz occurred if a defensive back (usually the free safety) rushed the passer. Nowadays, if you commit two or three line-backers this also counts as a blitz.

Check out the local communties. I know that here in Germany, there are teams sprouting up all over the place. They are just local teams, not even semi-pro, but they have fun playing the game.

Good question I would like to go watch them some day, even play if I could! if it's a major league then who do they play against? Other teams around england!?
