Eric Cantona.
I'm a Newcastle supporter but I say Cantona's the player that really brings the fans to their feet. A real character and entertainer.

For me, even though I am a huge Leeds fan and Eric the King was a force in his day, the 206 goals scored by Shearer lead me to think that he is the better player.

Certainly Eric with his 4 Premiership titles is no slouch...but maybe it's just that I am sentimental and always pulled for the Geordies' Shearer more....
