I am an engineer from indian but working in UAE, i posess residence visa here. I want to visit some friends in Kuwait, Can someone please let me know how to get the transit visa and what r the requirements for that.

I dont know about Kuwait, but once I Gulf Air gave me a hotel in Oman, since the flight was the next day, so I got a 72hr transit visa :-)
I could go out and go anywhere I wanted, but unfortunately the airport was far from the city, and the hotel they gave was even farther :-(
Anyway about Kuwait, it should be similar, the only way to confirm it is to go ask the Kuwait embassy.

I cannot possibly do that for you. However, you certainly can contact the Embassy of Kuwait nearest to you and they will happily provide you with all of the details and requirements for that type of Visa. I have found them most pleasant to work with in the past.
