No, I am not frugal, money is there to spend as long as you have some in a nest egg for rainy days, the rest goes. My philosophy:
You live only once and life's too short. I have seen too many acquaintances and friends who saved and just bought things on sale suddenly die, through heart attacks, brain tumour. It teaches you a lesson when that happens. I don't wait for sales, I don't clip coupons and if I can afford it, I won't do without

When both me and my husband worked I was to a certain, common sense point. Now that I'm no longer working I have found some pretty inventive ways to save money.
