You can pay for my air ticket to your place and then I will help you clean up your house. Haha, just kidding. Housekeeping... Just pack everything neatly, throw away those unwanted stuffs, so that it wouldn't be so messy, having too much stuffs lying all over the house. Then mop the floor, clean the windows, doors, couch...until they are sparkling clean. Haha. Honestly, if I were you, I would be nervous or anxious... whatever. Wouldn't be easy to remain calm. But just breathe in and out in and out in and out and cross your fingers that everything would work out fine. Good luck! But actually, I am the kind of person who wouldn't really care about what people think of me. So, just be yourself!

Xanax works really well--or you could just get a good buzz before they get there...LOL. Seriously though, don't worry. So what if you aren't a great housekeeper or can't hire one? As long as you dont' have dirty dishes piled in the sink and laundry all over the floor you are good to go. You want them to like you for who you are not what you think they expect you to be. Be a good hostess and make them feel welcome. I'm sure they are just as nervous as you are....

I had the same thing but it was my "in-laws" flying in from England, they stayed for 6 weeks and it was the first time I met them too. I had to collect them at the airport and I didn't even know what they looked like. I had about 3 martini's a day (strong ones) and that did it for me. Even though they now think I'm an alcoholic, I kept as calm as a cucumber... a drunk one.

If your worried about the appearance of you home, just tidy up as much as possible. They will understand, everyone who is just starting out struggles. I'm sure they will have stories about how hard things were for them when they first got married. They apparently care about you guys or they would not be making the effort to see you. Relax and look forward to meeting your new in-laws, most are cool.

Listen, okay so they're your relatives...it isnt like your having the Pope visiting for the weekend.Relax and dont stress out. You've never even met them.Maybe they're simple people who really dont expect much and arent too picky. You try and offer them the best you can do...cook them a nice simple meal, have your house nice and tidy...I'm sure everything is going to be fine! And even if they turn out to be annoying and demanding and ungrateful, then who cares? You'll know you did the best you could have done!Good luck and dont stress!!

Work out an itinary for while they are here. Have a backup plan in case you need to bail. If you work out ahead of time how the visit is going to go then you may have a less stressful time. For now to get your mind off it clean the house :)

Well, get off the computer and pick up the vaccuum! You need to get cleaning! It's not hard, no skill involved......just do it. You don't want your first impression to be that your a slob. After you've cleaned up....relax and be yourself. It's not really a huge problem if they don't like you.....they live in another state.

Well just pick up the major thing.don't do any deep cleaning. Think that a couple of friend are coming over to have a nice dinner with you and you should be just fine.
