I love to write letters to my family. Letters are more personal and I believe they take more thought. I like to put a few stickers on my envelopes too. If it's fall I'll get stickers of leaves, Halloween I'll get Halloween stickers, Christmas I'll get Christmas stickers and so on. A nice letter that no one expects can really make someone's day.

I write letters to my grandparents. I think most people just email and text now which is a shame. I LOVE getting an old-fashioned letter now and again. But email is so FAST.

I still write letters especially if its important. I tend to e-mail companies and then write. I also phone them. texts I keep to the bare minimum as they annoy me.
I think its laziness to just text/email. After all just look at some of the texts you get where most of a words letters are missing. Its like a fill-in-the-blanks session.
I have been dumped by e-mail and text and thought it a laugh. As it proved the lack of courage of my ex's.

being sarcastic as possible. Why should we write? We are a lazy society, we do what is easiest. We have spell check, cut, paste, voice activation. I try to write a couple of friends at least 2 or 3 times a year and send it in a hand written envelope, with a real stamp and a real address no dot com about it.

every now and then my friends and i write each other letters, just to update each other with whats going on in our lives or if there is something we want to talk about but can't talk about it face-to-face. its a good way of finding out how your friend is feeling inside and it is also nice to read back on previous letters to see how much things have changed over the months/years.

My friend moved to Prague for 6 months and I wrote letters to her there. I have written 2 to another old friend, we were seeing if we could make peace, but sadly this is not the case, I guess you just grow out of some friendships.

Times have changed since letter writing. I still do that to folks that consider it proper etiquette. Mostly I use the phone.

I always write letters to say thank you for birthday and Christmas presents. It's how I was brought up.
