It largely depends on what you mean by 'stuck'. If I'm presented with a problem and cannot solve it I either look it up in books or on the internet or get in touch with someone who is able to assist in solving the problem.

If you mean 'stuck' in an emotional context I believe that breaking your daily routine often clears your head allowing you to resolve the situation or problem. Try taking a different route to work or go to a location you've not been to before. The other alternative is to speak to someone or, if necessary, a profesional emotional problem solver. There's no shame in admitting you can't solve an emotional problem by yourself and having an individual who is not emotionally connected to your problem gives an outside perspective.

Whatever definition you meant by the word, it's safe to say that you should never get yourself into a mental state of isolation: it disempowers you as a person.

I usually either walk away to clear my head, maybe make myself a coffee, then if i'm still stuck I try to get advice from a friend or relative, if i'm still stuck after that I leave it and hope for the best, whatever it is, its not probably not worth losing sleep over or getting upset about, lifes too short for that nonsense.

I stay at home, and bake Swedish Cinnamon buns all day long, than i feel like i have achieved something, and kneading the Dow gets all anger and frustration out of me, and the smell of lovely Cinnamon buns fill the kitchen and my heart, and brings me back to a younger more innocent me... its very therapeutic...
strongly recommended, it might even work with other sorts of cakes too.. though the Swedish Cinnamon buns are the best i think,,,

walk away from it for a little while then come back to it and the solution seems clearer. Same as jigsaw principle, the longer you stare the harder it is to find the missing piece.

Confront the cause of the problem immediately! Do not hesitate! You're alive and you can aspire to anything, get out there and do it!

Actually, in reality I
blame others who are responsible
shout
kick ***

then I realise that I messed it all up.
So I just take a few steps back - sometimes loooong steps back and restart.

Hand it over to the subconscious mind to work on and then let it go. The solutions then start to come into one's conscious awareness.
