Take no notice ignore her and her daughter you had some problems of your own without having to worry about someone else if they were a true friend they would understand this you are not responsible for everyone.

Do you think you were wrong to put your family first? Ofcourse you weren't. In cases like these, it is best to be truthful. Confront your friend and ask her why she is treating you so badly. Remind her that you were not obligated to take her daughter to work, it was a favour. After hearing your friends explanation of her treatment of you, you may want to decide whether or not you want to remain friends with her. Also, I take it by your message that you yourself do not drive. If so, learn! You will develop a new found confidence that will ensure you never worry about 'fair weather' friends (if you do not understand that phrase, it means someone who only wants you when they want something) again. I hope this helps.

It seems like your friend and her daughter were just exploiting you and your husbands generosity and since you have taken action that compromises that, they return the favour by being bitchy. Personally, I would just say to them, If you have something to say, say it to my face or say it when you have developed a spine. There is no need for you to tolerate their behaviour and you were doing what was best for your family. Whatever agreements you may have had with your friend and her daughter, your family still remain a higher priority than they ever will but as long as you given them notice that she would have to make her own way to work, they have no reason to be like they are with you.

Your question is NOT quite explicit (not very clear). To give your own family priority, without harming anyone, seems quite alright - as long as there are no hidden issues.

They way women behave never ceases to amaze me. She is probably lacking drama in her life and decided she wasn't doing enough gossiping. Ignore her she is a dick.

just ask her -- you will never figure it out and then don't argue with her just say you had to look after your family she would as well and then move on

true friends shouldn't act like that so she's either not a true friend or you are being paranoid. speak to her about it or try not to worry about it so much
