First of all what do you intend to study? Since you are from singapore, then are you a diploma holder and what field is it in. Cause if you are a engineering/technology dip holder, I would suggest that you just go overseas to get your degree. If you are an A level's student, go local. There is so much spots allocated for you people.

Secondly. Are your family financially stable to sent you to uk. It's not cheap to study in UK for 2-3 yrs.

Thirdly. Make sure that the uni and major you choose is locally recognise and accredited by the major industry board. And if you intend to work in singapore after you graduate, go for some recognisable uni cause singaporean employers tend to go for brand names then some obsure uni.

Good luck in making a decision.

It depends on your field of study. If you are reading law or medicine, then try your best to qualify for a place in the local university because the eventual place of work is very elitist. Your employers have preferences for local graduates because they assume the local entrance requirements are higher.

But if you are majoring in other areas like English Language, Literature, Theatrical studies or other humanities or social science subjects, UK seems like a nice place to go to.

There are some employers who look out for graduates who have had studying or working experience from overseas.
