i'm working in a software company for the past one year with vb6.0 and i couldn't get much knowledge in that. still i'm using simple codings only. but i wish to get a job in MNCs. So pls give some idea to improve myself.. What i want to do for that

If the main idea to get inside MNC and you are not liking the coding job much consider changing your department. You can consider joining testing, system admin or QA. The MNCs have lot of requirement for these roles also.

If you want to go in MNC then Congrates it's the time to be in.
Better get Somewhat Certification (in your case MCSD will help you)
If you are just joining a BIG Company just coz you will learn Sorry Buddy !!
You will not allowed to touch a system Believe me.
Sience there work affects from your R&D.
Some months ago One Guy From PCL Was kicked out Just Coz he was trying some newthing with Oracle.
Hey Don't think PCL hires kidds He was OCP.
if his R&D works He will promoted or got a salary boost.
Alas the server Crashes and he ....... you know!
But it may depend upon the people for whome you are working
Pray your self you will hired as employee not slave.

Upgrade ur knowledge and skills.
can go for SAP cource.
drop ur CV's in all job sites.
