OMG are you joking! lol the films were great the a musical would go way too far! and i think it would be too funny to be taken seriously! no way could it be a musical. can you imagine how long it would be? all three films in themselves were well over 3 hours each! people would be falling asleep in their chairs if they were a musical! forget it! go and see "The Sound of Music" well worth seeing!

oh yes, saw a bit yesterday in the news about the auditions for ugliest and shortest actors to play the hobbits, I'll go just to see what legolas look like.

Don't really know how it would worth but may be worth a watch. I heard the other day that they were auditioning people, but you had to be under 5'7 and have hairy toes (male and female!). I know a few people who could have gone!
