Not all veggies would try and argue with the idea that human bodies are designed to eat animals. But most of us don't care about that- what "God" intended is not the point- we just refuse to support the way that our civilisation goes about it.
Look at the meat industry- it is horrific the way they breed, raise and ultimately kill these animals. You don't have to be against eating animals in principle to be against supporting an industry that practises this much cruelty. Even the organic and free range is questionable.
I do not want to generate any demand for it, or give any of my money to these people, so I will not eat their product.
Claire P- it's not the same thing as not working in the sewers but still using the toilet because most people's reason for not being able to kill an animal themself is not just the "ick factor" that it looks and smells gross- it's that they would feel guilty inflicting pain on an animal and couldn't deal with it emotionally. That's not the same thing at all.

Vegetarians & vegans don't eat meat for a variety of reasons. Some don't because of health issues. Most of them though don't because of how the animals we eat are treated prior to the slaughter and the negative impact on the environment from the factory farm.

The question is not as theological as you wish to put it, vegans and vegetarians do not eat meat through conviction and choice but, not as part of a religious belief. For your information however certain religions do not believe in eating meat.

People are omnivores - they are designed to eat meat and plants. That is why we have sharp teeth at the front and grinding teeth at the back.
And for those vegetarians who tell me that I should not eat meat because I could not kill an animal, my stock-in-trade response is that I could never work down the sewers, but it does not stop me using the toilet!!!

AFAIK most veggies don't think that God didn't want us to eat animals. They just made their own decision, that they don't want to be responsible for the death of an animal. Our teeth show quite clearly that biologically speaking we are meant to be omnivores, and so (if you believe in God) we were created to eat both meat and veg.

So the non-vegetarians would like their food - we're designed to eat both meat and vegetation.

LOL to sarah. sarah, you're a rebellion! I very just about peed myself! Thumbs up! I even have heard and study all of those statements earlier. extremely of scouring the internet to study up on vegetarianism and veganism, alot of the trolls and anti-vegetarians exhibit their sheer lack of know-how for us to snicker at. it extremely is like reading the Sunday comics in specific situations in this communicate board. in case you do no longer completely comprehend someones way of existence, show your self approximately it earlier you formulate an opinion! *chuckles* BTW, i'm purely waiting for a definite ANTI-vegetarian to make a remark. This character is a usual on the V/V communicate board. i'm getting sturdy laughs out of her lack of know-how. i believe her avatar wears a pink beanie cap over short blond hair...

From day one (as we know it) man was a meat eater. Meat gives us proteins, energy and as you say is TASTY. As long as we kill only to eat or survive, then in my opinion we should continue as they did from day one.
