There is different between fundamentalists and communalist. Fundamentalist is one who practices or believes the scriptures as they are written, literally. That is without using brain and believing it to be first and last truth. the social advancements and advancement in knowledge are of no consequence for that person.
Communalist is one who uses the religion or cred to create communal divide and tensions. A person cane both or only one of these. As it is said, jinnah was a pork eater, Savarkar was
atheist and so on.
The communalist (RSS/ Shiv Sena Brand) Are threat to fabric) Since India has majority of Hindus, Hindu communal ism is more dangerous as it has potential of being disguised as nationalism.
Other religious communalism are weak and on the defensive though they too are bad for social fabric.
Fundamentalist, on other hand, are threat to social development and rational thinking but mot to fabric as such.

Any kind of religious fundamentalist is a threat to the fabric of a nation, especially the militant ones you describe. Just look at what has happened in the US! After several years of rhetoric, our President seems to be supporting a religious war against Islam. His minions in right wing talk radio and TV certainly are, and there is much evidence that they are centrally directed.

any fundamentalist (hindu, christian, muslim) can be a threat to the secular fabric of the nation........
being a secular, sometimes i feel, secularism kills hinduism or christianity or muslimism i mean to say, good things from all these religions, because we unfavour sometimes our own religion , as we want to be so neutral or secular...............

Sure if they exist...
What about Christian fundamentalists and terrorist organisations in India supported and funded by Churches.
What about NOrth eastern states in India?
How about Christians distributing inflamattery and derrogatery literature in Hindu festive gatherings like Krishna Janmashtami, and Christian controle over Titupati.....
Real problem it Proselytising and using unethical tactics for it....
Your question is rather vague and missing many vital issues if you are referring to some random cases of clashes between two communities.

Any fundamentalist is a threat for humanity. After all, life is too short and we have to go back one day to God. That time we will realise that God is one and we have spoiled our short span of life in fighting for religious supremacy.
