80's cartoon about a submarine that travels into space. What was it called?

It wasn't a submarine. It was the Japanese World War 2 battleship Yamato (If we are talking about the same thing). The show was called "Star Blazers." It was my favorite.

I believe that the TV series was called was called in Occident Captain Raymar It was Japanese and over there the names are different, it was like a pirate, the submarine was black with some red lines and tones and with a big skull in the front. The main computer was really his best friend's brain or had his best friend friend brain waves or something like that. He always was also taking care of a little girl with blue hair who was his best friend's daughter. Raymar had a patch in his left eye. He was always fighting against Amazons from other planet, they were green skin, but once they had contact with the Earth's atmosphere their skin become white. If that the cartoon you're talking about it was cool.

Yamato wasn't a submarine like some people are saying, Yamato was a WW II Battleship that was sunk in a sea battle. After years in the future it was rebuilt as a battle space ship to fight against a space invaders, the main weapon was a big sword that was located in the front of it. This series Yamato is older than Captain Raymar, something else Raymar use to salute placing 2 fingers form his right hand in the forehead moving them from there ahead almost like the army salutation. The name Captain Raymar was given in the Spanish translation, so may be in Japanese, like I said or in English the name was different, but the cartoon was the same.

The Stooges whup Martian doopah and save the day.
