I was in the service in the UK.
Smoking is banned in a lot of public places, and all eating establishments.
Sad isn't it?

Most pubs still allow it, most restaurants don't. The complete ban comes in next summer

being from the uk!!! i can tell u that u CAN smoke in public .... !!!! they haven't decided when the law for nosmoking in public will come in!!!
and you can still smoke in some restaurants but quite alot have been made non smoking in feb 07 I THINK!
