You almost definitely had German measles when you were a child. Since then you would have had a booster which would have made you immune. As your child is in your tum you will be protected by your own immune system. If in doubt contact the NHS direct if you are in the UK or your local GP or midwife who will gladly advise you

The vaccine wears off. Everyone knows this. That is why there are currently outbreaks of measles and mumps in fully vaccinated adult populations.

The drug company Merck that makes the MMR is currently in court defending itself against whistleblowing former employees who were told to falsify research to show the vaccine is more effective than it really is. http://vactruth.com/2012/07/17/whistleblowers-sue-merck/

Ask about your titre levels taken at your first prenatal visit.

I looked up and found someone in the same kind of situation here is the answer an online doctor gave to someone also rebella is appreantly the same thing as german measles according to this site so yeh here is what this doc had to say;

The first thing that you should do is to check whether your friend is immune to rubella. If she is, there is no need to worry. All women are screened for rubella immunity in early pregnancy, so she is likely to know whether she is immune or not. If she is not immune she will have been told this, and she will be given rubella immunisation after delivery. Rubella is one of only a few viruses that can cause harm to the foetus. The risk is mainly in the first three months of pregnancy, although there may be lesser risks associated with rubella infection in the later stages. If your friend is not immune to rubella she is at risk of getting this infection from anyone with the disease. As you are immune it is highly unlikely that you would be contagious even if you had been in direct contact with rubella infection. It is, however, difficult to be 100 per cent certain about the total lack of risk, and thus it would be worth discussing this with your friend and making a decision together about whether to go ahead with your meeting.

Hi - If you have started prenatal care, most likely bloodwork was done at your physical which will tell if you are immune or not. A phone call to your provider should give you peace of mind. More than likely you are immune if you had vaccines, but I have heard of some vaccines failing, so it is a good idea to check your immunity. If you are immune, your nephew's German Measles will not affect your baby.

Get incontact with your mid wife or doctor immediately. If you have had G.M. then you will most likely be immune. There is a test to check this.

Phone NOW.

Good luck

You should be OK if you were immunised, but you must see your GP or Midwife as soon as possible.

Speak to your doctor or practise nurse, I think you would have been checked for rubella immunisation on your first visit to the clinic
