, been told this is only valid for 1st owner of car ,is this true or does the warranty last till the car is 3yr old despite the number of owners

A manufacturers warranty is exactly that .. It stays with the vehicle Not the owner for as long as it stated when it was first sold

Nope the first owner should be able to xfere the warranty over to your name.

it should be covered unless the manufactura has stated othrwise
ie could not fix a fault under warrenty
check befor going there

It should be transferable, contact the dealer or original seller.
