I am going to give my car away for free - why should you get it?

I am relocating and will either get a moped or a smaller car, so I'm gonna give it to someone who could use it....Astra 1984, but only 59,000 on the clock (orange), body work not too bad and the engine has always been serviced.

I am in the UK, so I guess that means you have to be in the UK, unless you want to come and get it. I think the P&P will be a lot....

Sell it! ask a reasonable price for it and take the first offer. AS-IS and keep the change. you can have the money or donate the cash to charity.

I am poor. I live off of less then 7000 dollars a year and go weeks at times without eating.

A car would help me out of that situatition, it would get me to places where I can earn some extra money under the table (shh!).

Because I have an acquaintance, a young man with a wife and 4 kids. They have seen very hard times and are trying to get their lives together. He works hard but makes very little, and child support for a child he fathered at a very young age takes half his income. They have a free house to live in, but can't move in because it's 15 miles from where he and his wife work. A car would make a world of difference to them. They are living with his parents in a tiny 2 bedroom house and it's miserable for them. If you give it to me, I'll give it to them.

I should get it if I am a respectable, certified, bona fide charitable organization able to render you a reciept for tax purposes.
