"Commodification" is when something becomes so standardised that it is uniform, like tin or lead. A tonne of my tin is the same as a tonne of your tin.

Marketisation I figure must mean the tendency to let the private market operate -- to use the market mechanism more. Everything from contracting out the cleaning of schools to top up fees for colleges.

Delocalisation.... the best example I know of is Middlesex University setting up a campus in Dubai. Obviously there is a lot of "distance learning" gonig on as well. Many courses in adult education are run on the basis that people only physically get together once or a few times a year, and the rest is done by internet and correspondence. But perhaps more use is also being made of telecoms options like conference calls that can allow a tutor and, say, three students to get into a tutorial by phone?
