I don't think it is Islams attitude to women that is screwed up but rather the perception of what Islam is and what it says. Is it really the Muslim religion that creates a bad attitude or rather individuals who do not understand the real principles of that religion. Islam gave women the right to own property separately from their husbands 1300 years ago. When did this occur in England and its colonies ( it was within the last 120 years). Christianity has seen its horrors as well the inquisition. I think the real problem is not the belief system but poverty and ignorance. Ignorance applies to all peoples and faiths. There are many muslims who are horrified at honour killings. Ia m astounded at the other two statements. Where do you get the idea more rapes are commited by one particular group? Where do you get the idea one particular group is subject to depraved propensities. Ignorance is the greatest problem.
I am not Muslim.

You need to ask Mohamed.
My answer is: It's just because they are Muslims, it's how they were taught from day one.
If you grew up having never seen a female, they are covered up from head to foot, you could end up being a perverted mass killer too. Why do you think those people go around blowing themselves up along with innocent people. They are taught that when they get to their "heaven" they get some of that stuff under those robes.

Though they are some 1.5 Billion of the population, I suppose that in a totally Islamic country, 100% of the crimes are committed by Muslems.
So? Your point is? Don't all religions seem to be the political dogma invented by paranoid fools?

Their whole world view is screwed up. You left out the part where women are subjected to circumcision (they have their clitoris sliced off by some of their husbands so that they won't enjoy sex). As that 14 century Byzantine emperor pointed out so well, islam is evil and inhuman. As a society their development has been arrested in the middle ages.
Besides, why honor the women they have when their silly religion promises them 70 virgins upon their martyr's death? Even in their afterlife women are second class citizens.

I don't think there are any more Muslims than any other race. Where did you dig up that fact from?
In general Muslims do just think of their women as a possession. although a Muslim woman probably will not agree its just that their culture has never given them the chance to live another way so they are satisfied with their lot.
Don't try to understand them because you never will, which is fine as long as their beliefs are not inflicted on us.

When i was in my late teens I went out with a non practising Muslim girl. Everything was fine for a months no problems.
but then one of her brothers decided to find "Allah" or find his roots or whatever.
and all of a sudden our relationship was a dishonour to the family etc etc
He then proceeded to fly a 3 of his cousins over. They then started a campaign of intimidation to split us up. When that didn't work my car was vandalised, my parents car and her car. When this didn't work we started getting death threats.
It all came to a head when they attacked us both and both myself and her were hospitalised, she was in for 2 weeks as her own brother had repeatedly kicked her in the head while she was on the floor (real Honourable of him)
So we Split up.
The real kicker is a few months later I see her brother out and about with a white girl and you know what he said "i can do what i want"
so for a Muslim guy to go out with a white girl its like having a fashion accessory
but for a Muslim girl to do the same its dishonourable and you bring shame to the family.
talk about living in the dark ages

Without expressing an opinion, they don't think that it is. That's an answer to your headline question, I don't know about the rest.

Sorry, can you please back up your claims with CREDIBLE sources.
Attitude to women I think you will find is more country related than religion, and don't forget it was less than 100 years ago that women were allowed to vote in the UK.
