I thought We'd know the sex of our baby sooner. At my last doc visit we thought we were gonna find out. The Doc said he wanted to wait another month that will put me at 23 weeks. My cousin found out at 19 weeks. Is this normal?

Wait until the very last minute if you can. My doctor was wrong right up until about 1 week before my son was born . Kept saying it looks like a girl but I was 2 wks over due and a week before I gave birth he said have I told you what you are having? Of course we said a girl..he said OH NO...that's a boy!!!!! No fun trying to return things that were bought for a girl to get boy things when you are a week over-due as it is.

We found out at 19 weeks. If the baby isn't moving, it's very hard to see whether it's a boy or girl.

Is the sex of ur baby that important? I think is ok, Dont worry about it, ull know just in time, maybe the baby's legs where in the way or his/her hands. In the mean time enjoy ur pregnancy and relax. And u know whats the best feeling when u dont find out till u have the baby. Its exiting to find out if its a girl or boy. Good luck

I was 21 weeks when I found out by ultrasound. The typical is anywhere from 16-25 weeks from what my doctor said, it all depends on your pregnancy. Good luck, try to be patient...I know it is so hard.

why find out. This never used to be an option and people were thrilled to find out once the baby was born. The other thing is I've known a few people who were told it was a boy/girl and it turned out to be a girl/boy. They were very upset as the room, clothes, stroller everything was bought for the opposite.

i wouldnt stress if i was you, maybe your baby was just lying in the wrong position to see. Anyway if your doc incorrectly sexes your baby, you will be left with alot of stuff that you dont need.

The baby is probably laying at a funny angle. Nothing to worry about. When I had my baby sonograms were pretty new. I refused to have one because my doctor couldn't guarantee me that they were safe for the baby. So I got to be surprised the day he was born.
