I was married for 7 years and never used protection after the first year, and never got pregnant. things didn't work out for us and we divorced, I remarried and used protection again, while on the pill I missed a pill and got pregnant, I went to the doctor and was told that I had a ovarian cyst and he gave me a prescription that said in bold black letters that would harm fetus if pregnant, my mom said after I made the comment I am tired she said I think you are pregnant so I took a test and sure enough I was! Thank god I had only took one pill, which really made me very mad because it could have been a very bad situation, everything turned out fine though, my question is we want to have another baby and we haven't been able to get pregnant no protection for 2 years and have sex 3 or 4 times a week no luck any suggestions?

If you've been trying for 2yrs and at 3-4 times a week. I would suggest that you might want to speak to a gynea. Since you've had ovarian cyst before. Have you had a pap smear test to see if everything else is okay?

Have you used an ovulation kit? It might help telling you when you are most fertile. Its good to keep track of when your fertile days are.
You'll also need to relax and lie on your back for at least half an hour, so that the little precious tadpoles have time to swim up stream to meet the queen.

Good luck and all the best!

Well, I am in the exact same situation. We have 1 child and have been trying for a second for over 2 years...We are now in the process of getting a fertility work up to see what is wrong. The doctor told me that secondary infertility is more common than I thought. I suggest that first you make sure you ARE ovulating. You can do this by charting your basal body temp each morn at the same time before you get up. Using ovulation prediction kits is also helpful, but tot reliable because they only detect your LH surge. After detection you could possibly ovulate in the next three days, or it is also possible to have a surge and still not ovulate! A wonderful site that was introduced to me is Fertilityfriend.com. It will graph your temps for you, record your cervical mucous, body signs, tell you when you ovulate or if you are not, tells you if there is an implantation dip in your temps and so, so much more!! Oh, did I mention it is FREE? I wish you tons of Luck!!!

relax & try different postions (top, sideways, etc) don't try to think about getting preg & u will - plus after sex be still don't rush to bathroom -- *** Per info on American Baby : Men who have a history of the following issues may be more likely to experience infertility, and should see a urologist if their partners do not become pregnant within 12 months (six months if the female partner is over 35):

Mumps after puberty

Hernia repairs

Injuries to the groin

Undescended testicles

Sexually transmitted diseases

Urinary tract infections

Prostatitis

Impotence or ejaculatory problems

Excessive smoking, drinking, or drug use

Use of certain prescription drugs, such as antidepressants

maybe you should have the doctor check and see if you have another cyst on your ovary. also after having sex take a couple of pillows and place them under your hips so your pelvis is tilted up for about 5 to 10 minutes try this everytime you have sex. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
