There is no free security 'suite,' so you'll have to make your own suite from a variety of different software companies.
A good free Anti-virus program would be AVG. ZoneAlarm offers a free firewall, and there are a number of anti-spy software around.
Keep in mind that the 'free' versions of the software are not as good as the 'pay' versions.

I hate Norton and I use the free AVG Free antivirus. You can google for a link, it is a great program.
A great free firewall is Zone Alarm, and I use Spybot Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware for Spyware.

No there is no long term free Norton antivirus. Sometimes I see a trial subscription, which they give you to try for 30 days, and then you have to decide whether to buy it, or let it lapse.

hi, perhaps you can try norton to remove the virus and protect your PC, but you need to pay for the software.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
