I have heard plenty of grunge bands and the only cd that Nirvana put out that could be considerd grunge was Bleach.

Was it because of the was they dressed?

If so, its not a style of music, its a fasion style.

Yeah it was more of a fashion and attitude kind of thing. I think some of their other stuff is grunge also, but you're right that not all of it is.

yep Nirvana created 'grunge rock' genre to the music industry and they ended it in 1994. Real Legends

Well, they're one of the beginners of Grunge style. It's true that they have a lot of punk in their songs but they're still the grungers.
None of those bands is the same, but they're the grungers anyway. Peral jam and Soundgarden and Nirvana and Alice in Chains, they're all grungers but they are different.

I think everyone just assumed it was the way they dressed. It was just a sterotype. (typical 90's) Kurt got too depressed in his later albums to be considered grundge. Too much heroin. Regardless Nirvana rocked and i will always love them. peace.
