Coming from a full time mother of 4 - 3 biologically mine and the 4th adopted... WAIT IT OUT. Not one of my four had a full crop of hair till they turned two years of age for the boys.. and looking at my baby girl, she just turned two on the 13th of September and is STILL pretty much bald. Aside from peach fuzz, which i use baby oil on to give it definition when i take her out, she has none either. She refuses to wear all those cute little bows, strings and hair bands... though we do "play" regularly with hats of different sizes and colours so she WILL wear a hat. I dress her in pastals and the boys of course where the darker colours as they can't keep anything clean, and that helps to. BTW she was born with a FULL head of hair, it all fell out and now we wait impatiently for enough to grow back to put a barrett into. Take a deep breath - It's normal. All children are different and you will soon find out your baby differs from the text book "average". This is what makes each one of us so unique. Enjoy your little bundle of Dreams and Happiness!

My niece had the same problem, we never thought she would grow hair, and when she did, it was very thin and baby fine. Well now she is 12 years old and has the thickest hair i've seen for a child lol. Just make sure your baby is getting enough vitamins too. My niece started growing hair when she was around 3. Her Dr. said this can be normal and in time, the hair will grow.

I know what you mean my daughter didnt start growing hair until she was over 1 years old.. Give it time don't worry it will come..
Sometimes people with thin fine hair takes a while to grow. I dressed my daughter in dresses all the time and people still said what a cute little boy, I always responded thank you he does look cute in the dress...

My sister's hair didn't start growing until she was about 5 years old. Sometimes it just comes in later. Put dresses on her, head bands. Dress her in pink. When someone refers to her as a boy, let them know she is a girl. I've seen some people get their child's ears pierced for this reason. (personally I don't like that).

She will grow hair. I have a cousin who was around 2-3 before she grew a considerable amount of hair. Just dress the baby in pink or girly outfits or put a cute girly hat on her. Who cares if people can't tell what sex she is.

It will grow. None of my 3 kids have much hair prior to age two years! Just politely let people know that she is a girl. You can try to put short and stubby pigtails in if she has enough hair, but you'll need tiny rubber bands. And dress her like a girl, pinks, purple, etc.

You could always dress her predominantly like a girl...pinks and pastels. they have these little sticky bows you can buy that stick to their heads rather than go in hair or put those little rings of ruffles headbands on when you go out.
My blond daughter was almost 24 months before she had any REAL hair...

Dress her in pink, in dresses, or those headband things. Some kids just take longer to grow hair. To get a better idea of when it will grow, ask your parents and your mate's parents when each of you started growing hair.

it is not a common thing but a women that i know had a little girls who's hair would'nt grow and when some finally did grow it came in in patches. it turned out that it was some kind of fungus causing the problem. so ask your doctor about it.

well how short is it - i mean does she have any hair on her head or is it bald?
I know if its a boy parents shave their head it makes the hair grow back thicker - maybe shave her head
each child develops in their own time at their own rate
you musnt worry , your child is normal and im sure beautiful
her hair will come in time.
