I was wondering if anyone knew the 'real' story behind Rapunzel? I know how the fairy tale goes, I don't want that. I want the real life story on which the Grimm Brother's based the fairy tale on. I've looked all over on line, and I just keep getting the fairy tale.... I'm just curious, I know the real story behind the other ones, was hopping to know this one as well.. Thanks.

I don't know. But maybe there was a a story of this girl who had very long hair and that her parents wouldnt let her out. So maybe the G brothers thought of a way to make her story more romantic and dramatic. You can do anything with a bit of imagination.
