(so I don't have a slider bar at the bottom of my screen and keep having to slide the thing back and forth and back and forth)

(Also is there a way to do this so it re-adjusts when I make my screen half-size [when I hit the "maximize/restore down" button at the top of the pages])

(It seems like such a simple thing for a computer to do.)

You cannot reset the size of a web page.
However, you can reset the size of your screen resolution.

Right click your desktop and select "Properties".
When the window appears, choose the "Settings" tab.
Move the arrowed slider to your desired resolution.
Most computers work great at 1024 x 768.
I will bet your resolution has been set at 800 x 600.
You can always change it back later.
My own web site was created for 1024 x 768 resolution.
See if it fits your screen. http://TaoBarbie.com
