I agree.
The point/meaning of Christmas is being swallowed up by Toys R us & just keeping Corporate Business men in Golf Carts, amongst other things!
I really enjoyed Xmas as a Kid, simply coz we didn't celebrate Christmas!
No stressed Mum, no money-worrying Dad & we were all happy.

The times are still here. Whats wrong with buying a kid a small present? We were kids once in our lifetime? And it's very nice for the family to get together. It's just I lost my parents within the last 5 years. and 3 brothers in less than 2!! So I guess you know how I feel!

I know! It sucks! I remember playing with little pastic green army men and with simple things like bouncing balls and bicycles! Now they have all this "JAP-CRAP". Toys are more violent and they break more easily. It's all becoming electronic. What happened to lego blocks and soccer balls??? Now we have 'the hyper commando 6000 with real moving arms and fully functional 3d surround sound voice simulators! call now and we will include the Super land assault vehicle for killing the aliens from planet gwaber! Only $600!!! Limited offer!'
Come on! It's going to break in a week anyway!!!
Christmas should be more sacred. it's about Jesus, family, and peace!!!

Thanks to most governments CHRIST has been taken out of CHRISTMAS.
It is now called the Holiday Season. Advertising has always increased beginning in October and doubles on Saturday mornings during the cartoons children watch.
It is a disgusting habit and only we can change things. Fight back, write letters and forgo the purchase of products from "in your face" companies.

Money.
Though, it's always been the case. Christmas was plagerized by the Christians who wanted to draw people from the summer solstice celebrations. So, it's always been used to exploit people for money.

It's always nice to give gifts. Maybe the best would be to recycle the gifts of last year and give it to other kids.
because there are so much toys, games, books going to the bin, it's sad.
