What music or song would you have for your first dance?

We had "The best of my love" by the Eagles. Great song. Very romantic. The band did threaten to play Ronan Keatings "When you say nothing at all" but I told them there wouldn't be any wedding if that happened!

Chapel of Love - Dixie Cups. You're going to have several generations at a wedding dance and just about everybody likes rock & roll.
For a smoochy one I like the original "I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton but I don't think it is great to dance to and has unfortunate connotations as she sang it to Burt Reynolds in the film The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

It would be a happy and meaningful song. Also, it would be quite long. The reason for this would be for me and my partner to hold each other close for a few minutes, without being interrupted by any of the guests.
I know that any wedding day is busy and you have to talk to everyone, and out of all the weddings ive been to, ive never really seen the bride and groom together much, or even holding each other, until this moment.

Anne Murry's " Can I have this dance for the rest of my life'? or something like that, could be "May I". I t is really quite a nice song for your first dance at your reception.

When I got married last year, myself and my husband decided that our 1st dance would be Eric Claptons "Wonderfull Tonight"
Its such a classic!!! When ever we hear it now or put the cd on, we dance to it!!!
