Why do people do anything when they know they will die one day? Why don't we all just go kill ourselves now? What's the point of loving, or having fun, or buying things like computers or video games?

.. because they have to live before they die.
they do not know when death is on the door and so they want to enjoy their lives to the fullest as much possible. in most of the cases, people also have the responsibility of some other people's lives like husband/ wife, children, old parents. they also amass wealth to secure their lives.

B/c it begets power and influence they can use now. JP Morgan, Rothschilds, Rockefeller, Citibank, Kennedy. The Round Table in England, the Committee on Foreign Relations in the US. Look at some Rhodes (Cecil) Scholars and follow the money.

If all the money in this world is divided equally among all the people of this world everyone will have money to last a year; then no one will have enough to initiate any new set of actions and this will effectively mark the end of civilisation.money as such has no value but acquires value only when you are willing to exchange the product of your work for it. so it naturally accumulates with anyone making effective use of his effort for the good of others.

Makes life while your here a hell of a lot sweeter. And possibly even makes you live long as you wouldn't have to stress so much over paying the bills and having heart attacks every time the phone bill comes in lol.

To leave a legacy. Take Warren Buffet for example. He has a wealth of tens of billions of dollars. However, when he dies, he will leave only $5m each to his kids, and donate the rest to charity.
This is 'to give them enough to do whatever they desire but not so much that they can do nothing'.

Alot of them think that if they give some money to charities and then give the rest to the kids that somehow that will earn them a place in heaven, but in the Bible Jesus said it is hard for a rich man to get to heaven.

people earn money not only for themselves but also they think and save for their future generations so that they will live happily till they die and then their children can make use of the money.

I believe it in hopes to leave something behind to our loved ones or in hopes of being remmbered for years to come.
