You won't like the answer, but it's you who's at fault.
Anytime you hit and damage a parked car, even if it's parked in your own driveway, you are at fault.

I clipped someones wing reflect whilst they have been parked and sitting in the motor vehicle.the concern replaced into that i wasn't utilising yet walking on the pavement donning a television that i had merely offered. The reflect smashed and fell off.the owner got here out of the motor vehicle as i ended and positioned the small screen television down.I paid for a clean reflect which value greater desirable than the small screen television.Later i felt like an fool because of the fact i replaced into walking on the pavement and his wing reflect replaced into obstructing the pavement even however he replaced into parked on the line.So next time i will run away. It,s a foul layout, automobiles dont choose those huge wing mirrors taking on over a foot of highway area. There could be a regulation regulating their length positioned into the MOT attempt

Just because it is illegally parked doesn't mean that you get to be a blind dumb*ss.
I would say he gets a ticket for being illegally parked and you are at fault for being a blind dumb*ss unless you can show that the car being illegally parked had blocked you in or somehow put you in a position where it was difficult to move your own vehicle.
