Neither is "better"
It all depends on what features you want, which you think looks best, which menu system you prefer.
I've used both in the past with no problem at all, currently use Nokia as I prefer the interface.

Nokia, as the software inside is excellent. It's like Windows on a PC - it changes from generation to generation but you still know where to look for all the functions, even if you get a different model of Nokia phone. Motorola are shite and they ripped off us Scottish taxpayers for millions after the UK govt. gave them money to set up a factory here - they stayed for a short while then f*cked off elsewhere. It would have been cheaper to give each employee a few hundred thousand each from the treasury.
But seriously, Nokia are the best!

some nokia phones have a good OS while just a few...and scarce motorolas have anything close to an OS.
i think motorola has a slightly better sound quality than d nokia but loses slightly 2 d nokia picture and display screen wise.
both phones have cool designs so i wouldn't judge there but when it comes down to user friendliness, nokia kills d motorola and i think that's an important factor...so i'd give it 2 nokia, just!

Nokia then Motorola but if you are thinking of buying one or the other, you should really be thinking of what features you want and which has the most services in your country.
