erection problem?

i get erections easily when im touching and making out with my girlfriend, they come and go. but after all the foreplay its hard to get an erection and keep it. is this because ive had several erections prior to the actual intercourse?

This is a psychological problem. You may find certain things about the fore play more exciting than the other things. That's why your erections come and go. As well, you may be focused on performing and forget about what's going on. That happens to me some times; I get an erection made of granite but on occasion when I'm concentrating on performing or pleasuring my girlfriend, I loose sensation and cease to be stimulated.

Suppose you're studying, while at the same time some one is explaining to you how to fly a plane; you won't be able to absorb every thing so you concentrate one or the other. That's what I'm talking about; your attention is focused some where else, possibly.

Of course, perhaps your erections are very intense and by having multiple erections (becoming erect and becoming flacid, repeatedly), you may be over stimulated and loose sensation. Or you may not be "thrilled" by the intercourse portion.

You could switch things up by doing a little foreplay, while you're still erect and jump into the sex. Or you can have intercourse first, and in between, try some oral sex or tease each other. What ever you do, just experiment. It's possible you've become to repetitive and made having sex a routine. Keep it fresh.

I don't know if you lift weights because I do and if I don't change some thing in my routine frequently, my gains will stagnate and plateau, eventually. Sex is simular, in that you have to have variety in order to get the results you want. Any way, good luck.

Maybe that could be the real cause, but i believe that without orgasm (ejacultion) the excitement & lust should remain and with it the erection too. After long foreplays with continuous erections the only problem for you could be the fast ejaculation during a probable subsequent sexual act! Anyway, for me the fact that during the foreplay the erection comes & goes already sounds strange. Generally the erection should stay as long as the foreplay goes while the excitement rises until urging the act and the orgasm.

It is probably because when the heat is really on, you get nervous. It is a psychological thing.
Take it slow, explain the situation to your gf, and just try to keep going. Tell her to be patient.
