How does Skype work on a PDA phone like i-Mate?

I have a general idea of how skype works usind data internet medium to make a call. I need to know if it is cheaper than using regular cellular communication. Also, How is the line quality?

It is good over WiFi to a broadband, Skype's site warned against running over GPRS, not sure about Bluetooth.

Very smooth audio. Occasional hiccups somewhere within the 'Net.
