You're right.. Being from Michigan, I found it humorous.. but that is all.. The Cup may end up in an American city, but the team that wins it, is made up mostly of Canadians..
Fear Not Canada..

I don't think it is too true, it is just a fact of life that there are way more teams in the US then Canada now, and odds are they will win it more often. Just because Canadians play on a US based team, while Russians play on Canadian based teams doesn't mean the US is teasing us with the cup. This cartoon would be a lot better if it was the NHL and the video officials holding the cup over the Calgary Flames after the cup winning goal in game 6 was not counted and the Lightning won in game 7. But not to worry, the Flames and Ottawa still look like they will make a run for the cup for Canada!!

I'm from Canada and I find it funny. I love the instigator. It's funny because over the last 10 years. Who's won 4 World Juniors, an Olympic Mens Gold Medal (that we beat the U.S to get), 2 Womens Olympics Gold Medals, the World Cup of Hockey, 3 Mens World Championships and 7 Womens World Championships. Plus, the amount of smaller tournaments we've entered (U-18, U-17 etc..). Canada!

True? Naw. Kinda funny? Only kinda. The Us teams have the money. Isn't that what it's all about. I am still bummed that the Rangers stole the Cup from was it Vancouver years ago. The Pavel Bure days. It isn't the same since they put Toronto and Detroit in different divisions.

It doesn't matter. Calgary's going to win the Cup this year. They're bringing the Cup home to Canada! SO IN YOUR FACE, USA!!!!
(Besides American teams shouldn't even be competing for the Cup. When Lord Stanley gave the Cup to hockey, he said it was to be presented to the best team in the "Dominion of Canada".)

I think it should actually be a Beaver holding the cup or an NHL team jersey with a captain's C on it over a crib with an American kid, now that's actually funny not many American kid making an NHL team and being a Captain or winning the cup

A Canadian team will win the cup one day soon. When the Tampa Bay Lightning won the cup 11 players where Canadian. That was good enough for me.

Canadians don't care that much who wins in u.s winning teams are always loaded with canadians anyway .google u.s winning captains in history of stanley cup and there has never been a stanley cup finalist with a european captain
