Reading, Sheffield United & Watford were promoted to the Premier League this season.
Reading & Sheffield United were promoted from the English League Championship as the top two teams in the league. Reading was the league champions while Sheffield United finished as runners-up.
Watford is the last team to get promoted via the English League Championship play-off final. they defeated Leeds United 3-0 in the play-off final at Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, Wales to clinch the final promotion place to the Premiership.
