Could you explain how to play some good games for a baby shower .Or may be some good pointers for decorations.Or something that would even be a good ice breaker .(somthing where every body in the room gets aquainted with everybody else in the room )since they all do not know each other.

Well, a good ice breaker starts with the hostess. Games can make or break a baby shower. I've been to some that were great, and some that were super lame. It always helps to have someone hosting with you, too.

I went to one where we all given little napkins folded in the shape of diapers that had our names on it. You wore it the whole time and at the end you opened it, and the one who had the dirty diaper (you smudge the inside a bit with pudding) gets a prize. Have cool little prizes to win for each game played.

One good game is picking tiny gold safety pins out of uncooked rice. Whoever picks out the most in 30 seconds wins, and it's not as easy as it sounds.

Another is a word jumble. Everyone gets a paper with words scrambled on it, and they all have something to do with babies and the things babies use. Again, this needs to be a timed game.

You could look up online and find baby names of babies born to celebrities, and have people have to match the baby name to the star. With the wacky names out there now, that could get interesting!

Another one I've played is "Guess how big around the mom is". You take some toilet tissue and tear a big piece off. The mom then wraps it around herself and the one who comes close to going around her belly wins.

Dress the baby or diaper the baby is fun, too. Everyone has to dress or diaper a baby using one hand in one minuete or less!

You can also have a baby food taste testing. Get a variety of baby foods, take the lables off (but you have to know what's what!) and give everyone a pen and paper. Let them taste it one by one and write down what they think each one is. The one closest to guessing without barfing wins!!

I hate baby shower (or any shower) games! They usually last way too long and they're stupid and boring!
People do not come to a baby shower to make new friends. They're there to see the mother-to-be! Some will know each other, some won't. Oh well.
It's not your job to be the "cruise director" and make sure everyone gets to know each other. Leave the guests alone and they'll be fine.
Decorations: go to any dollar store. They usually have a nice section devoted to decorations of all kinds. Use your imagination.

They had lovely streamers and balloons in blue and pink only
Big bunches of balloons with long dangling satin ribbons.
We didn't actually play games as such, but we did:
all have a guess at the mother-to-be's waist measurement.
thought up the worst possible names; that was a hoot.
Just relax, chat and enjoy opening the gifts (which we passed right around for everyone to oooh & aaah over.
Opening of the gifts is a good ice-breaker, everyone likes to comment and opine about them.
