True friends are rare because many people have some ulterior motive for a friendship. And sometimes they are very selfish and are only concerned about themselves.

As you read this though, your next set of friends are very much alive and perhaps close by, maybe in your neighborhood, maybe at school, maybe at work, maybe at church or synagogue. They are there waiting. Remember what I have said now, and do not live life thinking that true friendships can never be found.

Remember too though that it is wise to have an assortment of friends: some casual, some close. Don't expect everyone to be a close friend. But when you do find such a person, you have found a true gem in life.

Go to the library and get this book: Friendshifts by Jan Yager. Here's the table of contents and sample chapters online:

I don't think it's impossible, but it IS hard. I'm lucky to still have a couple real good friends I've had for years, and I've made some friends at work. If you've had nice conversations with co-workers in the past, why not invite them to go out with you on the weekend...maybe a true friendship could blossom from that. Keep your head up!

Nothing is impossible in life... You need to have right approach towards it ...no need to run for them, they will come as the life Progresses,Important thing is understand their value, & hence the value of true relationships for all of humans. Many times people recognize their value when they r gone, creating a gap in between...also one need to understand love , care, values, & behaviour to continue with any relationship developed..

then maybe they are just not the friends for you... friends.. listen, not all friendship is always at peace.. so what i mean is, friend is a human too.. they are just the same as us, humans.. we all can think, we own our own mind and thoughts.. so you cannot just break your friendship with someone just because a quarrel. And actually, I don't think you'd need good friends.. i know, good friends r really hard to find.. so, just try to find them! Socialate with ppl around you.. for ex: maybe your neighbour, your childhood friend, your kid's friend's mum, or just maybe.. your sister in law. my mum's bestfriend is my aunt, her sister-in-law..
good luck there! :)

True friends are hard to find because they are rare. If you really want your friends to be true to you, you have to ask yourself: Have you yourself behaved as a true friend to others?
Let me ask you: Would you be true to any of your friends whom you feel are not true to you?
So, I am so sorry to tell you that if you find it impossible to find a true friend, you probably have never behaved as a true friend to others.
What do you think? Am I making sense to you?
