The doozers were like anti-fraggle---their lives were dedicated to work and industry. To make sure they always had work they made their construction material out of a candy-like substance that the fraggles loved to eat. I believe they did that on purpose so the fraggles would eat them---meaning they had to work. Loved watching that show with my kids.
