Yes because cutting them off doesn't even remotely imply that you're cutting off your DNA.
DNA is your genetic makeup in your body which forms the pattern on your fingertips. Therefore, unless you manage to cause a mutation within your entire DNA sequence, you're going to have the same fingerprints for the rest of your life.
