Wasn't Lane Staley one of the best singers of all time?

That dude could sing. Of course he was a heroin addict but he could rip some stuff.

Not only could he sing, but was an excellent songwriter.

Even to this day, I still enjoy Them Bones and Rooster.

IMHO, he will be more missed than Kurt Cobain... at least Alice in Chains wasn't a three-chord band like Nirvana was.

Layne Staley was unique singer with a unique voice.
So, my answer is YES without any doubt.
It's a huge loss for the rock music 'cause we don't have him anymore...alive! But he's with us every day.
