Do you really think there are thousands of God. Hah!
God is only one and it is our belief which have given Him thousands and thousands of names. People are fighting in the name of God because they themselves don't know the thing which they think they are expert of.

Hay... God is belief.. And God is everything..u can think the God as any form u want.. he is everywhere and everything ..
But SOme religions have some rules and rules are put by some people.. and they believe something So.. IF u think anything about God.. Everything is belief and that Belief makes u to feel something if u believe strong..
U have t o feel the God with Your belief and seee the God with heart not with eye.. or anything else..
So.. the belief is that God is One and he making everything wherywhere not the Only light or point of light etc...
IF u want to understand about God.. First think what u believe strongly...and go from there while thinking why that came .. If u do proper;y then u will end up with God.. because If there is no solution for some question.. Gos is the only word the solution..........
SO.. u caanot see the God with eyes but u can see him with heart and Your belief and depends on the way u think

The Scriptures clearly teach that the term "god" can be applied to any powerful person, and the term was/is used that way in the Hebrew, Greek, and English languages.
(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him
(Psalm 82:2-8) How long will you [human judges] keep on judging with injustice And showing partiality to the wicked themselves? 3 Be judges for the lowly one and the fatherless boy... You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High. 7 Surely you will die just as men do; And like any one of the princes you will fall!’” 8 Do rise up, O God, do judge the earth [better than any human judge]
But the Scriptures also teach that there is a single Almighty God: Jehovah. The worship of Jehovah is the only form of pure worship. Honor and obeisance which is directed toward Jehovah's subject gods, such as Jesus, faithful angels, and even righteous human judges (see Psalm 82:2-8, above), is part of the pure worship of Jehovah.
On the other hand, opposing pure worship, is Satanic false worship. All forms of worship which do not comply with biblical true worship of Jehovah are really just different ways of worshipping the Devil. The Scriptures specifically call Satan a "god", and show that he controls much of human society.
(2 Corinthians 4:3-4) If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers
Satan even has the ability to make his disgusting false worship seem acceptable. Thus, rather than appearances, God's Word the Bible must be the only proper standard of pure worship.
(2 Corinthians 11:14-15) Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness. But their end shall be according to their works.
(Matthew 7:21) Not everyone saying to [Jesus], ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.
So, the two gods who are commonly served today are:
Jehovah
Satan

Yes, I believe that the object of worship of ALL religions is differing views of the same thing.
Organized religions are created for many reasons, the initial one being to educate people about spirituality and to join them in common worship (originally, presumably, because to have many people asking their God or gods to do something for them was considered more powerful).
The power that the priests had over people in a religion was very quickly recognized, so religion became a tool for organizing people in social endeavors. It can only have been religion, for example, that coordinated the building of such great monuments as Stonehenge and the Pyramids.
Organised religion has many beneficial points but they are often outweighed by the corruption that the power of the organization has over the people and much of the 'education' aspect of religion has become a tool to mislead and create fear and hatred. It is apparent that religion is a human creation, whereas spirituality is created and fostered by the being with whom those who have become aware of it seek to communicate.

Yes. There is common god for all humans and it has no form. The forms are but only various diverse attributes for easier identification. The fear of unknown and getting prepared to face the same is one thing, and wishing everybody else to stick to our mode just to get comfort in our own belief and convictions that our way of meeting such fear of unknown is the best and to continue in such snug assumptions.

Religion - Set of rules defined to lead a successful life.
GOD - A common term used to scare people to follow the religion.
Since these two terms are used for doing good things. People are following it through out their lifes.
Fighting for religion is the absolute stupid thing in the world. All religions are saying to live a peaceful life with out disturbing others.

Its a very slippery question that I see and spot, darting my hand into the water it slips from fingers. I try again. One man is walking up the trail satisfied for the day because he has a pole stacked with the lifeless answer.
Another disregards him as he hauls in his net from his fancy boat.
Both disagree in technique for serveral reasons.
What is important is that we should eat.
That is so well understood...its never uttered by either.
But the river is only so wide
and the techniques of the spears conflict with those of the nets.
and soon as more men arrive to fish for the answer.
arguments ensue over who is doing it right and fights break out.
Though they are peaceful otherwise.
same crap with religeon.

first, you have to understand that all gods are just made-up ideas, created by people for their own selfish purposes.
in the abrahamic family of religions (judaism, christianity, islam), each religion claims that their god has designated them as god's chosen people, and told them that non-believers can be killed and their property taken. for the last 1,000 years, Christians have been the worst offenders, spreading crusades, holocaust, colonialism, imperialism, slavery, oppression of women and minorities.
anyway, since each religion makes up their own little pet (and petty) gods ... then ... no ... the gods are not the same ... even though the Abrahamic religions all copied (and then changed) the same god from each other

I believe their is. But a lot of people get hard headed and stuck on their beliefs. They think if a religion does something no their way, then how could it be their same god. If people were more openminded their would be more talk of a common god.

dou u know what does god mean?
it meeans "above all".
god is given a shape so that it would be comfortable to worsip him than worshiping a god without any shape.

We were created by energy that came from somewhere in the universe, and our planet was chosen to produce man and woman, animals, birds, fish, and other living things; along with plants, fruit bearing trees, etc., etc. In trying to justify creation, man wrote explanations to describe our very beginning, understanding that the people did not know about energy, planets, etc., thereby man called this energy God.
