the political structure at that time was very much controlled by britsh empire..as nawab used to be only collectors who used to collect the tax from farmers...and they are usually with much free time so they encouraged activities like flying kites and mushairas ( kavi samellan) etc..to avoid boredom...
Pan and chess are not restricted to royal peoples only..even Indian chausar..is not that much royal ..its allabout timepassing..

BINDAAS city.
Offers every thing to everyone.
It also has rich tradition of music,(classical)
dance, poetry, education. etc.
The local language is very sweet,
may be compared with the style
of Shantiniketan style. Respectability
to a person, through his address
and speech is found no where else.
Shantiniketan and Lucknow are
two places in India, though speaking
Bengali & Hindi/Urdu respectively,
really makes you wonder about the
decency of our languages and behavior.
