I can't even read what I'm writing now. Basically, when I close the popup, it reappears immediately. I've scanned my computer for viruses, but it says that all viruses have been eliminated. What can I do??????? Help me quick!!!!!

i have a pop up blocker.. might help..its free. Some though are just nasty and annoying. Have you got Zone Alarm its free as well link below. I think the best solution is to limit your cookies from sites that you are visiting. Everytime you visit a site on the web cookies are placed in your computer. You can ask for a prompt instead of the automatically allow as most OS have. Go to your Browser..IE or Firefox. Look under privacy on each and adust your cookies to a prompt instead of auto allow. Read the prompts from each site, if your not familiar with them, just click disallow. Should stop your pop ups. Im not sure why everyone thinks you have a virus just because you have a pop up..That doesn't make sense at all. Especially since you have scanned your computer already.

Think of it this way. You have your computer protected but are allowing a site say Limewire or Morpheus. But inside the site is a popup. You can't stop it, because your allowing the site. Doesn't mean its a virus, but it means it will get past your spyware or firewall, since you allow the site. Just limit the cookies to a prompt and it will show up as a cookie and ask if you want to allow or disallow. Good luck.

Go to Tools & click on Pop-up Blocker & then click Turn On Pop-up Blocker...

If it still doesn't work, maybe there's a worm/ virus/ trojans that your computer couldn't detect... Try updating your antivirus software...

You don't say what kind of pop up it is, but youve probably got some kind of ad ware.

try running a free anti-spyware program like ad aware

They are trojans and worms, you must install a firewall and a virus killer plus a anti spyware.
