Even though I’m reasonably healthy, I got no worry and I’m not upset about anyone or anything, I’m tossing and turning for hours every night lately.
Has anyone had a same or similar problem? If so, could you tell me your experience and what you do to put yourself to sleep?
P.S. - I don’t like taking sleeping pills. And please don’t tell me to count sheep - I counted 3968 sheep one night and I was still wide-awake.

Wow… You guys are better than doctors.
Caffeine - Though I’m not taking any medication, and though I don’t drink coffee at nighttime, I should cut down on this.
Use bed for sleep only - Good idea. I’ll try this.
Sleeping late at night and waking up late at morning - Yup, that’s me. I’m gonna get up by 9 a. m. tomorrow no matter what time I go to sleep tonight.
Watch TV - Something boring, I suppose? I guess “Cold Case Files”, “Psychic Witness”, “American Justice”, “Dallas SWAT” are not very good choice.
Meditation - Think about nothing is very hard but I’ll work on that.
Yoga - I've taken Yoga and why didn’t I think of that? Probably because I was taking the lesson for a different reason. Thanks for reminding me.

I know taking pills doesn't make me a bad person - but 4 different palm readers told me that I died from taking or being forced to take sleeping pills in my previous life so I’m avoiding it.
Reading - I am allergic to reading. It doesn’t matter if it’s English or Japanese (my first language) or Swahili, I get nauseated. I like reading music scores so maybe I’ll try that???
I’m not tired enough - That is so true. I’ve been assisting carpentry jobs but haven’t had much hard labour lately. I should do some exercising.
Count rabbits - I don’t think this would work but you gave me a good laugh.

i am having the same trouble which you are having there are lotta reasons for lack of sleep one is sleeping late at night and waking up late at morning..if thats not the case with you first thing you gotta do is watch tv and eat something after that go to bed and take a deep breath after taking a deep breath think about nothing i mean make your mind thinkless and you will feel that you are getting sleepy after that you will sleep just dont let the things pop up in your mind..also do a lil yoga that really refresh the mind..focus on your eye lids when you are in bed and like i said dont think about anything..you will get a good night sleep if you do that as far as i think..

I've had this problem, but honestly I think it's down to personal preference in terms of improvising a cure without medication. Me? Reading usually tires me and puts me to sleep. I start reading and get caught up in something, but after a while my eyelids will start to get heavy.
I'm not really sure what else there is you can do without medical help. My advice is just to try and find something that tires you out easily. With all the time you have from not sleeping I'm sure you can think of something.

Are you on any medication? You might ask your doctor if it can affect your sleep. Don't drink anything with caffeine in it. Use your bed for sleep only. If you lay down, and aren't sleeping after around 30min, get up and do something that doesn't excite your mind too much. Though don't look at the clock, just kind of guess when 30min is up. Don't do anything interesting too close to bed as well.

Meditation is best way to sleep, that is in other words, singing lullaby to us. If they are someone to sing them for us, no meditation at all is required. Counting sheep is OK, but if you really watch out for those black sheep, you wont get to the number you told, i.e. 3968. Simply think of nothing and you tend to sleep off just easily as well. Walking and eating nutrient food in lighter portions is half the trick.

Anything new? Anything old? Cpld feet? To hot? Miss your binky?
Try meditation, I have sleep apnea. I stop breathing when I sleep. Keeps me up a lot.
If you can't keep your mind on one thing then stare at a light bulb and focus on that in your mind. Take 10 really deep breaths, inhale and exhale slowly.
If it doesn't get better in a week or so see the doc.

There is only one option other than pills. You will have to watch T.V. or do something else until you feel really tired. You should just go with the pills pal ( That doesn't make you a bad person, I already checked with God)

stay up for a day and a half, or 2 days, till you get tired, then only sleep for about 4 hours, and wake up again. you will be tired, then stay up a full day, and sleep for 6 hours, and wake up, and sleep from then on for only 4-7 hours depending on how restless you feel.
or try having sex. That puts me to bed, nicely!
